It’s Easter again, and some of the looks on the red carpet this past week have been sickly sweet as a result.
Kristin Cavallari got lost in the sprouting foliage in her green floral number, while Rosario Dawson attempted to emulate a wrapped chocolate Easter egg…and succeeded, much to our chagrin.
Before that post-Easter diet hits you next week, take 10 and indulge in these sweet sweet fashion misses.
These celebs laid some fashion Easter eggs on the red carpet
Gal GadotGal Gadot looked like she was wearing Superman’s cape at the Batman v Superman premiere. (Maybe she was…but then what was Superman wearing?!) Ok, so it’s sexy, and fits well, but what’s with those overly embellished shoulder straps? We’re gonna have to say no.Getty Images
Sara SampaioVictoria’s Secret model Sarah Sampaio is a beautiful human. But her dress? Not so beautiful. The large, gold grommets hammered about this black mini dress look anything but classy. It’s like a DIY drapery project gone terribly wrong. Maybe next time just go for a traditional ALL black dress, Sarah.Getty Images
Coco RochaWe love Canadian supermodel and new mom Coco Rocha, but we don’t love this white and black look. The black mesh overlay is unflattering The see-through panels placed in various spots don’t do any justice for Coco’s awesome figure. This is one fashion risk gone wrong.Getty Images
Camren BicondovaGranite is a popular material for kitchens, not red carpets. While actress Camren Bicondova’s gown is more of a granite/camo hybrid, we’re not having any of it. And frankly, based on the look on Camren’s face, she looks a bit taken back by her outfit choice too.Getty Images
Mary Elizabeth WinsteadThis royal blue dress gets a fashion pass from waist to the knees, but it ends there. The black costume-like top looks like it belongs in Batman’s closet or maybe Catwoman. (The neckline is probably too sexy for Batman.) The rectangular blue clutch is and strappy pumps are also too matchy-matchy. Getty Images
Rosario DawsonAs a rule of thumb, dear readers: if you have the choice between a shiny fabric or a matte fabric, always choose matte. Anything with a bit of sheen, is tricky to pull off. And Rosario shows us why. She looks like a wrapped chocolate Easter egg. Getty Images
Michelle MonaghanThere’s really nothing good about this outfit. Firstly, the champagne colour completely washes out Michelle Monaghan’s complexion. Secondly, those polka dots! They’re so…polka dot-y! And lastly, there’s the asymmetrical stitching and oddly placed seams. Maybe it’d look better inside out… Getty Images
Kristin CavallariFormer Laguna Beach and The Hill’s bad girl Kristen Cavallari is looking sweeter than ever in this floral-print frock. Too sweet. The blonde beauty looks radiant, we’ll give her that, but we’re not loving the over-sized foliage. It makes us feel itchy… like we might have just been bit by a mosquito with Zika virus. Oh god. We’re going straight to the walk-in clinic.Getty Images
Melissa Joan HartSabrina the Teenage Witch! While we’re pretty stoked to see Melissa Joan Hart on the red carpet, we wish she’d put more thought into her outfit. The nude and blue-print is fine, but it’s the length of Melissa’s dress that needs a snip. It cuts off the actress’ body, making her look short and stubby. Plus, the style of these nude heels look more matronly than sexy, which doesn’t help her overall look.Getty Images
Emma GreenwellEmma Greenwell looks like plain Jane in this long-sleeved white lace frock and she’s, apparently, not at all happy about it. At. All. And we don’t blame her: the tight black collar around her neck looks suffocating. Emma completed the look with too-casual, open-toe denim wedges. Getty Images
Kendall JennerIt-model Kendall Jenner has got it going on. She’s dominating the runways, fashion ad campaigns, and is apparently dating Harry Styles right now, too. But these pants! They’re so bunched up around her hips, we can’t look away. Her ultra v-neck crop-top looks like it’s made out of construction paper and may melt away in the rain. Better luck next time, Kendall.Getty Images
Sarah HardingSarah Harding has us craving a Black and White cookie, Seinfeld style. It’s a harmonious combination of black and white, but the flavours of this floor-length gown don’t combine for quite the same sensation as the famous chocolate and vanilla treat. Spit it out. Getty Images
AJ OduduWe half expect someone to come out and spill a bunch of blue liquid on the ground so AJ Odudu can demonstrate the absorbent power of her outfit. She looks like she could polish a car by sliding on it in this iridescent jumpsuit. The criss-cross top is flattering on this British TV personality, but it’s the fabric texture that we can’t get past.Getty Images
Emmy RossumIt’s the hue of burnt orange that ruins this otherwise great tea length, strapless dress with floral appliques for us. If it were all black, or perhaps a brighter shade of orange, maybe, but as is…no way. Getty Images
Shanola HamptonIf Shanola Hampton was on her way to a luau in Maui, this look would be completely appropriate. Unfortunately, she was not on her way to any kind of Hawaiian festivities. The blue, silky number is a flattering colour, but the cut…not so much. Save it for vacation. Getty Images
Elizabeth OlsenElizabeth Olsen’s kimono-inspired dress is too red, too flowy and too see-through. The high neckline makes her look like a floating head. And the embroidered feathers that dot the red fabric are giving us visuals of a chicken slaughter house. No thank you, Elizabeth. Getty Images
Maddie HassonOh, Maddie Hasson. Where were your friends, your stylist, your mirror, before you walked out of your home in this unfortunate dress? The shiny champagne material is too similar to the actress’ skin tone, so she looks washed out. And the ruffles are reminiscent of a lonely peasant.Getty Images
