It turns out the secret to healthy eating might be easier than you think. Registered Dietitian Shahzadi Devje stopped by Your Morning to show us how we can easily transform our favourite meals into something a bit healthier, with just one ingredient swap! SIMPLE INGREDIENT SWAPS

  1. Swap QUINOA for white rice in dishes.
  2. Swap UNSALTED SEEDS for croutons in salads.
  3. Swap UNSWEETENED COCOA POWDER for sugar-laden cocoa and dark chocolate in desserts.
  4. Swap TOFU - to make a creamy vegan dip/chutney - for high-fat mayo (made with oil).
  5. Swap AQUAFABA (leftover liquid from cooked chickpeas) for cream when making desserts.
  6. Swap FRUITS for added sugar in baked goods.
