Next Friday will be a big day for Ireland.
Residents will be lining up to cast their ballots in a referendum to determine whether or not the country will become the first in the world to allow same-sex marriage by way of popular vote. The latest poll is predicting that 78 per cent of people will vote in favour of the change, which is fantastic news!
But out of the sea of “Vote Yes” and “Vote No” posters that are beginning to line the streets, one variety is standing out. Multimedia designer and photographer Debbie Hickey created a series of them that feature Lego characters instead of people. Maybe it’s the microcosm effect of them all, but they’re extremely effective and we can’t quite figure out why. Check them out:
