We’re just weeks away from the second-season, Canadian debut of The Masked Singer on CTV, and we’re already debating which celebs will be under the masks when the show kicks off on Sept. 25. Because let’s face it: how do you top season one’s monster, a bee, and a peacock?

With an array of colourful and intricate new costumes, of course. Costumes so beautiful that they deserve to be on full display in order to be truly appreciated. That’s exactly what U.S. broadcaster Fox did on Wednesday at the Television Critics Association summer press tour in Los Angeles. During a themed Masked Singer lunch, handlers wheeled costumes into the room and set them up in between tables of cookies and platters of sandwiches.

Let’s break them down, shall we?

The Fox

FOX

This costume is one part Alice in Wonderland, one part medieval mystery, and all parts fun. Whoever is under this mask clearly has a sense of humour and showmanship, but we’re also super curious about the animal choice itself. Is Fox a part of the person’s last name? Are they as obsessed with Fleabag as we are? Whatever the reasoning, we can’t wait to finally find out, what does the fox say?

The Flamingo

FOX

Bright, pink, and full of feathers… Just look at how beautiful and detailed this costume is. And now imagine how hot it would be to actually wear and perform in. Also, while we appreciate that there’s a small mesh area for the face to breathe, we can’t help but wonder how heavy the top is. (Those eyelashes alone look pretty hefty.) One thing is for sure—whoever wears this costume is not afraid of a little heavy lifting.

The Butterfly

FOX

This costume is totally reminiscent of last season’s bee, but in brighter jewel tones that have us kind of fawning. The teeny tiny waistline comes together with a bit of feathering that plunges towards the sparkly leggings, and the whole thing is balanced out by those impressive wings and mask. As far as we’re concerned the butterfly is going to be flying high among fans this season.

The Skeleton

FOX

We dare you to stop gazing into this guy’s eyes—there’s something very pristine yet mesmerizing about the way those crystals have been arranged, no? Add in the beautiful white leather, gold-detailing, and that impressive top hat, and we’ve got total Dias de Los Muertos vibes… maybe this celebrity is Mexican?

In just a few short weeks we’ll finally find out.

The Masked Singer comes to CTV on Sept. 25.
