There are days in a pregnancy that are lovely, like when a woman is glowing, looking good and, more importantly, feeling good. But then there are times when things aren’t so wonderful. And the boobs are sore, the back is achy, the stomach is itchy and you’re just exhausted. So. Freaking. Exhausted.

Line Severinsen, an illustrator and mother of two in Bergen, Norway, created a series of drawings that effectively sum up the everyday realities of an expectant mom. We all know that pregnancies can sometimes be good and bad, but good or bad, they’re always challenging. Severinsen’s illustrations, Kos og Kaos (which translates to Cuddles and Chaos), which you can also see on Instagram,  Facebook and a brand new hardcover book, show how much of a struggle it can be — but in a hilarious and totally relatable way.
