How’d the Aussie gal do it? Well, she stayed active. In addition to playing cricket, dancing, cheerleading, gymnastics and basketball, Madeline has taken up modelling as well. So, yeah, she keeps busy. “I think it is time people realized that people with Down syndrome can be sexy and beautiful and should be celebrated,” her mother told ABC 7 Chicago. “She will win millions of hearts if she gets the chance.”

And she has gotten that chance. Madeline has been selected for two fashion campaigns, for an athletic wear company named Manifesta and a Guatemalan handbag brand named EverMaya. And she has since been tapped by FTL Moda to be the second-ever model with Down Syndrome to walk at New York Fashion Week. What an incredible achievement.
