We get it, Ivanka Trump is a catch. She’s good-looking, she’s got business sense and she just so happens to be the incoming First Daughter. But would you pay $50,000 to go on a half-hour coffee date with her?

The Trump camp is certainly hoping you will. You see, 50 grand USD (or just over $65,000 CAD) is the estimated value of a new “prize” people are actually bidding on at the celebrity auction site Charitybuzz–although, the highest of the bidders is only willing to shell out about half of that so far.

User “ScottMongomery” is leading the way with a $24,000 bid that he hopes will land him a cup of java with the married mother of three. Where would all of that had-earned cash go, exactly? To the Eric Trump Foundation to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, of course. But given the Trump charity track record, it might be a better idea to just donate the money directly to the hospital.

We can’t help but feel like the whole event sounds a little suspect to us. First of all, you have to be able to get to a Trump Hotel or Trump Tower to even have the coffee date. Second of all, you’d have to be severely vetted by the Trump camp before you can arrange the coffee date. We imagine a whole checklist of things that could disqualify you at this point, including your race, religion and actual coffee order.

So what if you still pay up, go through all that rigmarole and manage to get to one of the U.S. President elect’s hotels? You could hope for the best, but according to the prize rules, the Trump organization could still cancel on you. Oh, and they don’t have to give your money back, either.

Yeah… thanks, but no thanks. We could think of a thousand better ways to spend that money. Including a coffee date with HRC, thank you very much.
