Do you know what most people hate doing? Their taxes. But there’s one Canadian who’s not like most people. Heck, she’s not even an adult. Carlie Weinreb, an 8-year-old child, can basically do your taxes in her sleep and we’re completely obsessed with her.

Using only a whiteboard and her brain–no calculator needed–,this math wiz showed adults how to calculate how much money they owe at a recent tax seminar at the University of Toronto Scarborough. A video of the seminar (watch below) has been making the rounds on the internet for the past week and has garnered the kid a lot of attention.

Carlie’s fascination with numbers and taxes started at the age of five, thanks in part to her mother, who’s a teacher, and her father, who’s a chartered accountant. Honestly, we’re not sure how she’s able to keep all of those numbers, percentages and tax rates in her head. It’s fascinating to watch Carlie work, especially since we’re all so used to relying on our calculators to figure things out for us.
