It’s a season of nippy nights, so you’ll need something that’s going to stick to your ribs. There seems no greater remedy than Joshua Groom’s other choice cocktail, a hot cider-buttered rum hybrid that’s creamy and smooth, and packed full of wintry flavours. Serves 1.
What you need
- 1.5 oz. Chic Choc rum
- 4 oz. apple cider
- 0.5 oz. orange juice
- 2 dashes of vanilla extract
- 0.5 oz. salted butter (room temperature)
How it’s made
- Set butter aside.
- Put all other ingredients in a small pot and cook until it reaches a heavy steam.
- Add butter to the hot liquid and stir.
- Pour into a glass.
