If you’re a Canadian with access to the internet, you probably remember a pretty momentous event that occurred in our history about 11 months ago. It was game five of the American League Divisional Series in Major League Baseball, our Blue Jays were tied with the Texas Rangers and our beloved Jose Bautista was up to bat. Then he hit the home run of all home runs, and flipped his bat in a way that would become iconic.

Many have reproduced that beautiful image of the Joey Bats bat flip. It’s been a tattoo, a Drake meme and has even seeped into the NHL as a goal celebration on the NHL ’17 video game. Basically, Canada is in love with the bat flip. Now a New Brunswick farm has done their part to recreate that legendary moment in celebration of the blue Jays’ 40th season.

The Hunter Brothers Farm Market has been creating huge culturally relevant six-acre corn mazes for 15 years. They started in 2001 with the New Brunswick flag, and since then have created designs with Harry Potter, Sesame Street, Terry Fox, The Beatles and more. This year, their corn masterpiece is a giant rendering of Jose Bautista’s bat flip.

You can actually head into the maze starting September 10, and it remains open until October 30. To make it even better, the goal of the maze isn’t even finding your way out. There are themed trivia questions hidden on the paths throughout and the objective is to find and answer them all.

This is the best way to celebrate fall and our (hopefully) successful Blue Jays.
