Everyone knows that when it comes to baby photography, there’s pretty much nothing you can’t do. Wrinkly babies in giant old-people spectacles. Anne Geddes inspired baskets and poses. And don’t forget about the standard baby wraps and hands on chin shots — those are classic.
We love them all. But when it comes to creative, genius photos that are so bang on they’re better than the real thing, well nothing beats these Harry Potter inspired shots as taken by Luna de la Rogue Photography.
As fans of the book and film franchise may recall, mandrakes were said to look and sound a lot like a screaming baby when they were plucked from their pots. It’s why the students were required to wear protective headphones when transplanting them.
Until now though, we never thought someone would sub an actual baby for a mandrake. But now that we’ve seen it we have to wonder why more people haven’t already done it — the results are just too good. Especially since the baby’s big brother is also a part of the photos as an adorable Harry.
One thing’s for sure, Luna de la Rogue Photography has just upped the baby photo shoot game. We wonder what film franchise could possibly be next in terms of inspiration. Twilight? The Hunger Games? It doesn’t matter, because these shots are definitively the best.
