If you’ve ever had a baby do an explosive dump under your watch (one of those up-the-back, not-enough-wipes deals that usually take place while he’s in his car seat or she’s sitting in a cart full of groceries), then you’ll recognize each and every one of these babies’ faces. They’re like a very (very) brief early warning sign.
Pampers’ brilliant new ad kicks off their campaign, “Don’t Fear The Mess!” and with the hashtag #Pooface, it’s pretty perfect. Babies don’t talk and here’s the reason why: because their precious faces say it all.
Whether it’s “Ooooh, boy, this one’s a doozy” or “Oh, no, this diaper isn’t going to hold it all,” you recognize the signs, sometimes before anything’s even happened. There are the twitches and the smiles that quickly turn into frowns, the squirming and the pushing, then the full-out signs of relief, closed eyes, satisfied smiles and then peacefully back to sleep — despite the smell. For once, Pooface isn’t gross at all. In fact, it couldn’t be more adorable.
