Ah, the lifestyles of the rich and famous. Ellen DeGeneres wanted to prove just how easy celebrities have it so she and Britney Spears decided to go to Westfield Fashion Square in Los Angeles for a shopping excursion. What ensued was actually both hilarious and awkward as the two demanded A-list treatment and caused mischief, everywhere from Bloomingdale’s to Pottery Barn.
Before they got inside, Britney — who was behind the wheel — ran through a stop sign sign and left the car parked in the middle of the road. They ran up the “down” escalator and asked for “100 per cent discounts” before Brit left the store wearing a men’s dress shirt and jacket, ignoring the security alarm, of course. In fact, they left store after store after kiosk with stolen goods but, hey, they’re celebrities.
From demanding free ice cream at Ben & Jerry’s to stealing from the fountain “for charity,” Britney and Ellen had a pretty full day. They ended their adventure by drifting off to sleep in a display bed. Because terrorizing an entire mall can be exhausting.
