Chef Danny MacCallum  from Jacob's & Co. Steakhouse shows us how to kick a classic caesar salad up a notch.

JACOBS CAESAR SALAD

Serves 1


WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Pinch of flake white sea salt
  • 1 Tsp freshly ground pepper
  • 1 black anchovy
  • 1 clove of garlic, crushed 

Add these ingredients and grind into a paste, and then:


  1. Add 1 egg yolk
  2. Add 1 tbsp of tabasco sauce
  3. Add 2 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce
  4. Add the juice of 1/2 lemon
  5. Add a dash of red wine vinegar
  6. Stir ingredients together
  7. Add olive oil into the bowl in a slow drizzle until all the ingredients are emulsified
  8. Add croutons and cheese then stir to toss
  9. Add the lettuce then toss to coat
  10. Plate the salad and garnish with a little cheese and a white anchovy on top
