If images of Daniel Radcliffe conjure up in your head whenever you think about the wonderful world of Harry Potter, it’s time for a Memory Charm.
The play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts One and Two, which tells the tale of Harry’s son Albus Potter and his adventures at Hogwarts, is set to premiere in London, U.K. in just one week. And the first photo of Harry Potter and his little family has been released. Needless to say, it’ll take some getting used to.
Ever since the movie adaptations of the books hit the screens starting in 2001, we’ve all simply pictured Radcliffe as The Boy Who Lived. However, if it’s any consolation, J.K. Rowling says Jamie Parker (pictured on the far left) is her Potter from now on.
“He simply is Harry now,” Rowling said on her site Pottermore. “There’s a kind of relief in watching him, he gets it so right.”
Well, if J.K. herself approves, who are we to protest, right? Plus, grown up Harry is quite, ahem, fetching–scar and all–don’t you think?
On June 1, Pottermore also shared an exclusive shot of Ron Wheasley, Hermione Granger and their daughter Rose Granger-Weasley.
Eeeeek. We can’t wait to see what reviewers say once the play premieres, we’re sure it’s a good one.
