OK, it’s only July and we’re sure you’re enjoying the warmth of the summer, relaxing on vacation, not relaxing with the kids home from school — but that doesn’t mean we can’t look forward to the fall. Not the weather, mind you, but fall television — specifically, This Is Us. While you may or may not have been getting your tan on, the cast of your favourite drama began production on their third season.
Creator Dan Fogelman tweeted out a photo from the set showing the first scene of Season 3 being filmed, and the show’s Instagram page was more than happy to tease it.
OMG, look how happy Beth and Randall look. And that’s just breakfast in the Pearson house. But they are nowhere near as jubilant as their portrayers, Susan Kelechi Watson and Sterling K. Brown, to be back on set.
COULD THEY BE CUTER?! We’ll just answer our own question. Nope! This is as cute as it gets, people. In fact, they might be the most adorable couple on television. We dare you to argue that.
This Is Us returns on Sept. 25, when we’ll see more of Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) in Vietnam, delve into Toby’s (Chris Sullivan) depression and hopefully learn more about the mysterious “her” that Future Randall and Future Tess were talking about. Until then, just rejoice in Watson and Brown dancing to Drake’s new viral challenge.
And if these aren’t enough feels for you, the trailer for Fogelman’s upcoming film Life Itself was just released and if you’ve dreamed of a big-screen version of This Is Us, this could very well be it. Even his tweet is perfectly This Is Us-y. Just make sure you bring a box of tissues. You’re going to need them.
Two years ago I sat down to write a film, only realizing after that I’d written it for my mom (who we lost ten years ago) and my wife (who I met exactly one year later). I hope you like the trailer. I think you’ll like the movie. I am crazy about everyone involved. #LifeItself https://t.co/anT069HJzk
