If there’s anything we've learned as we slide into our third month of quarantine, it's that everybody has their favourite comfort watches, even the stars. And as we discover the go-to movies and shows celebrities watch to unwind, and which performances they find the most soothing, we're learning more about our fave famous faces. Without physical distancing, how would we have known that Selena Gomez likes Adam Sandler's Uncut Gems as much as '90s opus Clueless?Selena is in good company since she and several other big names are sharing their essential movies lists so tuck into what the people who've acted in your binge-worthy shows are adding to their own streaming queues.

Ryan Reynolds

Ryan Reynolds’ sarcastic quips have been an essential part of his persona for years, so it's no surprise that his recent must-watch movies includes classic picks like the assassin rom-com Grosse Pointe Blank, Denzel Washington “breaking bad” in Training Day, Peter Sellers' satirical Being There and a world of Paw Patrol. Because “King Kong ain’t got nothin’ on…” Marshall, right? Relatable.[video_embed id='1941625']RELATED: Ryan & Blake promote ‘boring’ shirt for COVID-19 relief[/video_embed]

Jonah Hill

The fearless streetwear icon and two-time Oscar nominee shared his top 20 self-isolation picks with GQ and his list is as diverse as it gets: from the 1975 Warren Beatty classic Shampoo, Mike Nichols' gamechangers (Carnal Knowledge, The Birdcage) to music mockumentaries (CB4, Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping), Best Picture winners (Amadeus, Moonlight) and everything in between, with more selections in the liner notes. Step Brothers, anyone?

Reese Witherspoon

Reese comments on Jonah Hill’s list with three of her favourite self-isolation movie choices, which all share one thing in common—the star. Moneyball, Superbad, and The Wolf of Wall Street. Wondering why? She explains, simply: “YOU [Jonah] are AMAZING!!” We stan a supportive queen.[caption id="attachment_4926620" align="alignleft" width="960"] Instagram/JonahHill[/caption]

Ava DuVernay

Responding to Guillermo del Toro’s “What to Watch” callout, Selma and When They See Us  director Ava DuVernay gives two suggestions—one from her head and one from her heart. The former is Hungarian director Béla Tarr’s Turin Horse and the other is the Julia Roberts-Hugh Grant meta romcom, Notting Hill. She’s just a girl, after all. Just a girl, standing in front of a keyboard, telling her audience what movies she loves.https://twitter.com/ava/status/1252268700834512897

Mena Massoud

We already know Aladdin’s Mena Massoud is “one jump ahead” of all of us when it comes to charm, but this Canadian prince’s self-isolation movie list includes some childhood favourites (Mrs. Doubtfire, Reservoir Dogs), some personal acting inspiration (Daniel Day-Lewis in There Will Be Blood, Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight) and the “best movie line ever,” courtesy of Chris Tucker in Rush Hour.[video_embed id='1946106']RELATED: Mena Massoud was happy to bring a Toronto story to life in 'Run This Town'[/video_embed]

Armie Hammer

One-half of the duo that gave audiences a peachy taste of summertime heartbreak in Call Me By Your Name has a quarantine movie list that's equally as existential. Because who among us cannot connect with Apocalypse Now, Fanny and Alexander, The Master or Up? Looks like Armie is The Lone Ranger of getting us right in our feelings. Hey, whatever brings you comfort.

Selena Gomez

When Selena added her recommendations list to her Instagram stories, Movie Twitter embraced her picks and started clamouring for her to join Letterboxd, a review and list-friendly movie community. Selecting David O. Russell gems (Flirting with Disaster, American Hustle) and Alexander Payne’s Election, Gomez' picks veered towards a female-driven protagonist and provocative stories like Sugar and Spice, Jennifer’s Body and even The Invisible Man. Girl power?

Sarah Polley

Canadian treasure Sarah Polley wrote on Twitter she was “supposed to be making [her] first film this summer after being home and writing with kids for nine years.” Like all of us, her plans are now on hold for the time being. So, what has she been watching? Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, The Thin Red Line, and “terrible Disney movies.” Here’s hoping her little ones are just as on-board to “Save Ferris” as she is.

J.K. Rowling

The Harry Potter author has brought the world so much joy through the Wizarding World and her film world picks skew towards well-known, beloved critical favourites, from Criterion masterpieces Some Like it Hot and This is Spinal Tap to Zodiac. Interestingly, David Fincher’s Zodiac is also on Selena Gomez's list. Who knew Rowling was a Selenator?

Cate Blanchett

Cate Blanchett teams up with the UN Refugee Agency to name her 20 favourite films that spread a message of “global connectivity and empathy.” How else would you describe the uplifting thread that connects Spirited Away, The Joy Luck Club, The Terminal and Babel, which also starred one Cate Blanchett.

Don Cheadle

We’re used to having Don Cheadle help save the world with the Avengers as War Machine, but when it comes to his own viewing choices, he tweeted that Gallipoli is what taught him to “avoid war at all costs.” His real comfort movie pick? That has to be Monster’s Inc.

Darren Aronofsky

The genre-bending director helped Natalie Portman to her first Oscar win with the supernatural thriller Black Swan and it's no surprise his must-watch list includes titles that are equally as wide-reaching. Like Sarah Polley and Ava DuVernay, he also wades into the Guillermo del Toro filmmaker conversation and revealed he’s been "catching up on a lot of classics" in quarantine, like Amelie, Rashomon, the original Total Recall and the Coen Brothers’ Barton Fink

Ben Schwartz

Ever wonder how Parks and Recreation standout Ben Schwartz became an improv comedy king? Well, look no further than his list of comfort movies. With selections like Back to the Future, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Aladdin, Dumb and Dumber and Little Shop of Horrors, clearly there's a common thread when it comes to how the voice of Sonic the Hedgehog found his funny groove.[video_embed id='1886011']BEFORE YOU GO: Jim Carrey is back in 'Dumb and Dumber' form for 'Sonic' role[/video_embed]
