Kids are the best. They can say the darnedest things and it’s always cute. Because, well, just look at those widdle faces. Right? That’s right.
Last week Julie Siakpere, a preschool teacher who is five months pregnant, got some really, really great suggestions for baby names from her four and five year-old students.
After Miss Julie left school early for a doctor’s appointment,”[the kids] asked where I was and it kind of sparked what [gender] I was having and the names,” she told ABC News. “My co-teacher surprised me with it the next day.”
Ahh, from the mouths of babes. Let’s just say their suggestions would make Kim and Kanye proud.
Siakpere’s cousin posted the results on Reddit and it’s been a hit ever since, amassing over 1.6 million views. There are some classics that made the list like Henry, Gracie, Sawyer and Lucy but Racecar, Balloon, and Elephant are also there, you know, just because. And while we love Mama and Grandma, that might get a little confusing down the road. Our favourite though? Assie. Because sometimes that’s how kids make parents feel. Sometimes, not all the time, yeesh!
Good luck, Julie. It looks like you’ve got quite the selection to choose from.
