Unfortunately, we have some more sad news for you ladies and gents (and if you don’t know what “sad news” we’re referring to here, it’s time you watched that Game of Thrones season finale already): Jon Snow has shaved his beard. And he’s done it in the name of comedy…and tennis.
Kit Harington has officially done away with the handsome scruff that helped make his late Game of Thrones character Jon Snow (yes, it’s still too soon) swoon-worthy for five seasons.
The freshly shaven Harington is starring alongside Andy Samberg in HBO’s new Wimbledon tennis mockumentary, 7 Days in Hell. The comedy flick revolves around fictional athletes Aaron Williams (Samberg) and Charles Poole (a scruff-less Harrington) throwing down in the longest match in made-up Wimbledon history. And it looks hilarious!
The film’s supporting cast features a pretty sweet mix of athletes and comedians that include Serena Williams, John McEnroe, Chris Evert, Will Forte, Michael Sheen, Mary Steenburgen, Karen Gillan, Fred Armisen and Lena Dunham. But no Jon Snow beard.
Check out the trailer for 7 Days in Hell for some laughs and to witness a squeaky-clean Jon Snow in action. Warning, it’s pretty jarring at first!
7 Days in Hell premieres Saturday July 11th at 11pm ET on The Movie Network.
