Have you ever wondered what Queen Elizabeth II totes around in her adorable little handbags? A velcro wallet? Cherry Chapstick? Her cell? Nope. What we can tell you is what’s not in there: money. And not because she’s carrying plastic. Rather, she simply doesn’t need it. Well, except for Sundays.
“She donates to the church collection basket,” a source told Us Weekly. “Her butler irons a 5-pound note into a little square by folding it until you can only see her face!”
Since Her Majesty’s face graces every single pound, it only makes sense. If anything, it serves as a reminder as to why she never ever has to carry peasanty money around on the other days of the week.
But we know you want to know what IS in the Queen’s purse: Mint lozenges, reading glasses, a fountain pen, lipstick, a compact and tissues. We guess she doesn’t need ID on her. Though if she carried money around, that might be of some help. Pfft. As if she needs the help.
