Pizza Hut sure knows how to deliver. First, they came up with the pizza box turntable. And if that wasn’t mind-blowing enough, their latest innovation will have you unable to contain your excitement. Because instead of phoning in your order and talking to an actual human, going online or using the app, why wouldn’t you order a pizza through a special tattoo?
Pizza Hut in the U.K. has come up with a temporary tattoo with a built-in code that, when scanned with a smartphone, allows users to almost instantaneously order a pizza. The concept, which has been in the works for months, promises to make it easier for consumers to get their pies.
All users do is peel off the back of the temporary tattoo, place it anywhere on their body (OK, not anywhere, dirty people), use a smartphone to scan the tattoo, select either delivery or pickup and ta-da! Your pizza is ordered.
There will only be 40 temporary pizza-ordering tattoos available to the public, and Pizza Hut recommends keeping an eye on their Facebook page to find out how to get your hands on one.
Do we really need this? Probably not. But it’s happening. So let’s just enjoy it until Pizza Hut comes up with their next wacky gimmick. Or they can just kick it old school. Sometimes that works too.
