So you’re in bed, you’re about to get intimate with your partner, and your condom breaks. That’s certainly one way to kill the mood. Well, we can soon say goodbye to this problem, according to condom makers, Lelo and their new condom HEX.
You’re probably wondering “If this revolutionary condom is possible, why don’t we already have it?” Well it turns out no one’s significantly changed or improved the condom in about 70 years, so it was time for an upgrade.
Lelo set out to correct three of the biggest problems that effect condom users: discomfort, slippage, and breakage. With the introduction of HEX, which is basically a condom made out of small hexagons, past condom problems will, they claim, be a thing of the past.
A condom that good sounds pretty hard to believe, right? Well these little hexagons create a kind of web, so if you puncture one all the others stay intact.
Voilà! You can keep going all night long!
The hexagons are also what make the condom better fitting. They mold to the wearer to create a better feeling; this also means less slippage!
So why release this breakthrough condom now? “Never has there been a more important time to spread a message of great safe sex than today, when STIs are back on the rise and condom use is on the decline.” Lelo prides itself on wanting to spread the message of safe sex, by creating condoms that people will want to wear.
If you’re still unsure about HEX, Charlie Sheen endorses the product. We think if Charlie Sheen likes a condom, it’s got to be a pretty good condom! Just check out his (strangely) inspirational video about the product.
With these amazing new condoms you shouldn’t be worried about putting one on before getting it on.
