Khoudia Diop’s childhood bullies are likely eating bowls of their words for breakfast these days.

Diop, 19, is a stunning Senegalese woman currently pursuing a modeling career, working between Paris and New York City. Sounds like a dream come true for some. But life wasn’t always full of glossy photos of Diop’s smiling face. Nope, her youth was laden with name-calling and hurtful remarks dished out by her peers, all because of how dark her skin is.

Dear bullies everywhere: picking on someone for their appearance isn’t cool and never will be.

“I was teased a lot growing up, because of my skin tone,” she told the Daily Mail Online.

Despite what haters in the schoolyard dished out, Diop is proving ’em all wrong. Heck yeah she is! The Brooklyn-based beauty, who’s been modelling for just two years, has already amassed an Instagram following 287,000 strong (after joining the photo sharing platform just five months ago). She’s seriously blowing up the internet.

Her portfolio is incredibly beautiful, full of stunning photos. Like, take a minute to appreciate this amazingness:

And, one more for good measure:

But the true beauty here is in the message Diop is sending to young women around the world: what makes you unique is your very best asset.
