Hands up if you have tried online dating. Now, if you’ve taken the leap and have tried out Tinder, OKCupid, Plenty of Fish, Match.com, eHarmony, Lavalife, JDate or Christian Mingle, you’ve probably gone on dates and thought… wow you do not look like your photos at all.

And that’s kind of annoying, isn’t it? You get all dressed up and excited about a potential connection and then you realize that he or she has been dishonest with you from the get-go. But hey, maybe you’ve even tried to get away with uploading a photo from three years ago, even though you look nothing like that anymore. Don’t worry, a lot of people do it. And we’re not saying it’s right or wrong; we’re mostly saying it’s not illegal and sometimes annoying as all hell.

One app is trying to change the dishonesty that plagues the first date, though. The app is called 7Heaven, it’s from Sweden, and your photo cannot be older than 6 hours. And yes, you read that correctly. Due to the time restraint, your dating profile essentially becomes a stream of new selfies. And so you’re only as cute, sexy or moody as the last one you take. The app’s gimmick is also a good way to avoid fake accounts that are all-too-common on other dating apps.

You might say this is the future of online dating, where honesty is the only policy.
