In sage words from the film The Iron Giant, “You are who you choose to be.” Well today we choose to be very, very sad. Or at least that must have been what we were thinking when we clicked through the video above, because it absolutely slayed us in just under 11 minutes.

How so, you ask?

Well picture this: every sad scene from every movie that’s ever made you misty-eyed rolled into one long clip. We’re talking those tragic goodbyes in The Lion King, Up and Bambi. Coupled with final scenes featuring the likes of Spock, E.T, the Toy Story crew and Wilson, the volleyball from Castaway. All rolled up with a dash of Armageddon, Titanic, Marley & Me and Schindler’s List for good measure.

Don’t even get us started on the scenes from Forest Gump, My Girl or Field of Dreams that also found their way into the montage. Basically, if you’re looking to give yourself a facial of fresh tears, this is the montage to end all sad montages.

It’s all thanks to YouTube user Burger Fiction, the creator of “A Super sad Supercut.” But we also have Hollywood in general to blame for the tears — who knew there were so many epically sad movies out there that have pulled on our heartstrings over the years? When you see them together like this it really hits home… even if you haven’t actually seen ALL of the movies in question.

On second thought, that could also make this montage some sort of fun drinking game — drink every time there’s a movie you haven’t seen. Um, just make sure to play it with some friends though. Otherwise you may find yourself giving a whole new meaning to the phrase “drown your sorrows.”

Consider yourselves warned.
