Noah Galloway, the war vet and double amputee, has been a revelation on Dancing With the Stars. His dances, choreographed by his awesome pro partner Sharna Burgess, have been emotional and inspiring and there hasn’t been one week where viewers haven’t teared up a little at his performances. Galloway, the former Men’s Health cover boy, is evidence that you can do anything.

So, of course he made proposing to his girlfriend on live television look easy too.

After his and Sharna’s performance to David Cook‘s “Time of My Life,” co-host Erin Andrews brought out Jamie Boyd for the post-dance interview, who said of her boyfriend, “You’re a beautiful dancer and you have a beautiful heart.”

It’s like she just knew. Because Galloway replied, “The song, the ‘Time of My Life,’ you’ve given it to me. I’ve got to do this here.” And he proceeded to get down on bended knee with, according to People, a two-carat, princess-cut diamond on an 18-karat white gold band.

Galloway has wanted to pop the question ever since Boyd, an Army Reserve specialist, surprised him back in March.

“Jamie has been so supportive throughout my entire journey. I have been wanting to propose for a while, and when she surprised me in the Skybox, it was such a shock, if I had the ring with me I would have done it right then and there,” he told People. “That was a moment when I knew I wanted to propose to her on the show. I always thought if I made it to the finale I would propose, but I realized the competition is so stiff I couldn’t let the opportunity pass me by in case this is the end of the road for me on the show.” Aw.

Galloway made it to the semis and his romantic gesture may have just clinched him a spot in next week’s finals.

Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on CTV Two and ABC.
