Jewellery designer Emily Fitzgerald created some vagina necklaces that have become so popular she’s had to temporarily shut down her Etsy store, Mullummoonflowers, while she crafts new product. There are worse problems to have.

Her first yoni (Sanskrit for vagina) necklace prompted her daughter to call her a “freak,” but Fitzgerald didn’t mind so much. She posted the “all seeing vageyena” to Instagram and received immediate and utter validation. It turns out the Internet has been longing for just this style of vagina necklace. Right time, right necklace.

After this first post, the necklaces sold out and Fitzgerald was inundated with comments, both encouraging and…well, not so much. Such are the ways of the Internet.

Fitzgerald sculpts her yonic creations from a soft clay material that she then bakes in order to harden the shapes. Some are sparkly, some are pierced, some are rainbow coloured, some have an eye in the centre and an appropriately placed pearl–but all are artistically and anatomically awesome, just like the real things.

According to Emily’s Instagram page, her product will be updated on Etsy again on January 20th, so if you’re interested in your very own vagina necklace, you’ve still got a few days to wait before you can try and get your hands on one.

And if we don’t succeed in getting one of the limited supply when they’re ready, we may just have to turn this into a weekend DIY project. Vagina necklaces for all!
