You know when you get a new lip balm and it smells so good you want to eat it but you don’t, obviously? Now replace that lip balm with Too Faced’s Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palette. And replace the “but you don’t” with “so you do.”
Here’s the deal. The palette is packed with 16 delectable cocoa-infused colours in the peach, plum and brown families that work for every skin tone. Yeah, basically a makeup lover’s dream. Turns out, though, children who are too young to know any better, or read (the names of each colour range from Milk Chocolate and Champagne Truffle, to Salted Caramel and Triple Fudge), might take a sniff and want to give it a taste.

Like Lauren Rincon’s niece. The aunt took to Twitter to share what happens when you leave a young, hungry baby alone for too long.
MY NIECE ATE MY TOO FACED CHOCOLATE BAR PALLETTE BC IT SMELLS LIKE CHOCOLATE I DONT KNOW IF I SHOULD CRY OR LAUGH pic.twitter.com/nRAWHOcjjE

Well, it’s clear the Rincon’s niece really has an affinity for Hazelnut, Marzapan and Creme Brulee. She’s our kind of girl. Really, what did anyone expect? It’s got chocolate bar in the name. And look at it!

We totally get the misunderstanding.
Seriously, though. We don’t know what’s sadder: Rincon’s niece, who has it all over her body and looks miserable since it probably doesn’t taste as good as smelled, or the palette, which looks like it went through a human washing machine.
While many laughed along on Twitter, there was also lots of concern from tweeters — from those expressing their deepest sympathies for her loss …

… to those wondering how the little girl was.
Rincon reassured everyone that “too faced let me know that there isnt any harmful ingredients but we’ll definitely take her to the doctors if she shows any signs of sickness,” adding that she also contacted poison control for further assurance who told her she would be fine and worse case might be a bout of diarrhea.
But luckily, Rincon’s niece — and her patched-up palette — are both fine.
update: after a million q-tips & napkins later I was able to save my baby, except for a few colors :/ pic.twitter.com/SycP8qGlbN

She also added that someone at Too Faced messaged her and she could expect another chocolate bar palette. Now that’s a happy ending.
