It’s that time of year again!

Discovery‘s 31st Shark Week (no, that’s not a typo—Shark Week is the network’s longest running television event) officially returns July 28th until August 3rd, and it comes with more than 20 hours of groundbreaking shark-themed content. This year’s lineup features some of the world’s most respected marine biologists and science institutions taking on daring shark experiments in search of insight into the mysterious world of sharks.

We sat down with YouTube creator (and this year’s Shark Week ambassador), Dan Rodo. You can watch our interview in the video clip above.

Expedition Unknown: Megalodon

Airs: Sunday, July 28th at 8 p.m. ET

Shark Trip: Eat. Prey. Chum

Airs: Sunday, July 28th at 9 p.m. ET

Comedian Rob Riggle convinces celebrity friends Adam Devine, Damon Wayans Jr., Anthony Anderson and Joel McHale to join him on a shark dive.

Sharks of the Badlands

Airs: Monday, July 29th at 8 p.m. ET

Greg Skomal and Andy Casagrande team up with shark expert Kina Scollay to test cutting-edge technology for detecting sharks in coastal waters.

Legend of Deep Blue

Airs: Monday, July 29th at 9 p.m. ET

Brandon McMillan and Jimi Partington head to Guadalupe Island in search of Deep Blue, believed to be the largest great white shark in the world.

Laws of Jaws: Dangerous Waters

Airs: Tuesday, July 30th at 9 p.m. ET

Back by popular demand, Paul de Gelder, Mike Dornellas, Nick LeBeouf and Jamin Martinelli re-enact shark attacks and see how they could have ended differently.

Monster Mako: Perfect Predator

Airs: Thursday, August 1st at 10 p.m. ET

Joe Romeiro and Keith Poe continue the annual search for the largest Makos in the world, called Granders, and unveil new footage of rare Mako behaviour.

Sharkwater Extinction

Airs: Saturday, August 3rd at 8 p.m. ET

This Crave Original Documentary by late filmmaker and conservationist Rob Stewart follows his crusade to investigate corruption in the pirate fishing and illegal shark fin industries.

Sharks Gone Wild 2

Airs: Saturday, August 3rd at 10 p.m. ET
