It’s the last night before the finale of Love Island  (see it Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET on CTV) and that means it’s time to meet the families. But first, the final two dates had to go down and it quickly became obvious that all the budget was blown on Monday night.

It appears the producers determined the grandness of the dates based on the seriousness of the couple (shady, but we get it). Zacbeth are Day Ones and in ~love~ and got a yacht. Dylan and Alexandra have been together since the first week and got a helicopter. Ray and Caro are serious but have only had a few weeks together, so they got fire dancers. Weston and Emily will probably be over by the time their pink and blue luggage arrives at the airport and had a date on a bench. Seems fair.

Not only did the couples celebrate their final dates, they also met one another’s family and friends. The introductions went great for just about everyone. So close.

RAY AND CARO

Caro and Ray made things official on their date, but Ray’s mom may not be too happy about their new status. Both Ray’s parents feel like Caro jumped around between guys and didn’t like that she was attracted to Anton when he came in. Okay, we get they’re protective of Ray and worried about him, but let’s remember that nothing actually happened between Caro and Anton and barely anything happened with Cashel or Cormac. And another thing (we’re heated because we hate seeing Caro cry), let’s not forget that their son is also on Love Island and could have easily been the one jumping from girl to girl if he had arrived the same day that Caro did. So, let’s not shame Caro for trying to find a connection on a show where the premise is literally to find a connection. Now someone hug Caro.

WESTON AND EMILY

Emily’s best friend has been watching Love Island so obviously she’s worried about Weston. She voiced her concerns to Emily and she even voiced her concerns with Weston, asking what we were all thinking—why even go there with Kyra? Weston did his usual do-si-do around an answer and while things seemed peachy keen when Emily’s friend left, we’re glad to know she’s got someone watching her back.

ZAC AND ELIZABETH

On Tuesday night’s episode, the challenge was trying to tell Zac and Elizabeth’s moms apart (they even have the same wedding anniversary! Come on!).

DYLAN AND ALEXANDRA

Alexandra’s friend encouraging her to open up and be herself and Dylan’s parents teasing him for his constant streams of ‘like’ and ‘awesome’ made us feel like if these two don’t win Love Island, they’re still gonna be fine. They obviously have people waiting for them at home who love them. And they’re both gorgeous, so that helps too.

THAT AWKWARD MOMENT

Zac and Elizabeth coming up for air after “expressing their love for one another” and seeing Weston and Emily doing the same thing was very uncomfortable and also what we’ve been waiting five weeks to see.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Wearing a conservative outfit to meet your partner’s family is probably a moot point when you’ve spent the past five weeks almost naked on national TV.
