If you thought the last live-action Lion King trailer looked like a shot-by-shot remake of the animated trailer, get ready to see double again. Disney has just released another peek at the upcoming movie and for anyone who spent their childhood watching the original on repeat, you’re going to see some distinct similarities.

Catch all those nods to iconic shots from the 1994 original? Like, little Simba stepping into Mufasa’s footprint? Or Simba’s walking glow-up with Timone and Pumba? Or Rafiki’s Simba fan art? Or Simba and Nala making googly eyes at each other from across that pond? It’s all there and it’s all PERFECT.

As the trailer opens, we also got our first glimpse of a super-menacing Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar and more James Earl Jones as Mufasa (which we’ll never get tired of). There was still no sound of Donald Glover as Simba or Beyoncé as Nala, but TBH, the Bee Hive is still recovering from the drop of her Homecoming trailer, so that might be for the best.

In the absence of Childish Gambino and Bey, you’ll have to wait until the last few seconds of the trailer for Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen’s Timone and Pumba to really drive it home.

The warthog-meerkat duo—known in the cartoon version for their stirring rendition of “The Lion Sleeps Tonight”—performs a few bars of the iconic tune while strutting through a forest and, yes, it’s everything you want it to be. The internet goes wild!

So GET PUMPED because The Lion King, in all it’s nostalgic and star-studded glory, is coming to a theatre near you in exactly 100 days, on July 19. Until then, we’ll just be over here emotionally preparing ourselves to see a—SPOILER ALERT—father figure’s untimely death.
