It can be hard out there for single people. So many dating apps, so little time. But what happens if the right person has been in front of you the whole time — and you just didn’t do anything about it? Well, that might very well be the case for Kent State University students, Michelle Arendas and Josh Avsec, who matched on Tinder THREE YEARS AGO but haven’t done anything about it — until now.

Josh took to Twitter to share some screengrabs of past conversations he’s had with Michelle, brief sentences they began exchanging back in 2014. It was Josh who started it all, sending her a simple “Hey Michelle.” It took her two months to respond with the sad excuse, “Hey sorry my phone died.” And that’s when their busy lives took over.

Josh took a couple of months to reply to her, then Michelle did the same and their “relationship” continued at a similar pace for the next three years. Until finally it seemed Josh was done with the shenanigans and just wanted to meet IRL already! He took to Twitter with a screenshot of their conversations.

This time, though, Michelle was quick to respond.

Hmmm, an interesting turn of events.

The Internet has been waiting for a couple to root for and they’ve found the perfect pair in Josh and Michelle.

Tinder could no longer handle the suspense and took over the whole situation. They ARE in the matchmaking business, after all.

Let’s just say the two found a way to reply a little more promptly to this.

The two couldn’t be more grateful.

No pressure, Josh and Michelle, but we’re invested. If you two don’t live happily ever after, we’re not sure what we’ll do.
