It finally happened. Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson listed two of their L.A. houses in the Palisades Riviera for around $18 million USD all together (or around $23 million CAD). And while both estates are being sold separately, they’re literally right beside each other, which begs the question: Why buy one of Hanks and Wilson’s houses when you could have both?
The first house is absolutely stunning, inspired by a Spanish style of housing from the 30s. It’s also got four and a half bathrooms, a spacious living room and dining room, a library, four bedrooms and is overflowing with good vibes.
The second property is no less impressive than the first. Essentially, it’s 7,300 square feet of bliss. It’s got living and dining rooms (that’s right, plural), a theatre room and even a pub. Plus, there are six and a half bathrooms. If that’s not paradise, we don’t know what is.
The estates are being managed by Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage and Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties respectively (in case they’ve piqued your interest).
And if you’re like most people on this planet and can’t even afford one of these houses, at least you can enjoy some pictures of both estates to appease your love for luxury.
Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson are selling their L.A. homes, and they’re predictably amazing
The KitchenJust look at all that counter space! You could probably fit ten, no, twenty people in that kitchen easily.Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices
A living room from heavenWe want to memorize every detail of this room now so we can recreate it even when they move the furniture out.Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices
The dinning roomThis room's got a whole lot of class, and looks pretty modern to boot. What we'd give to have just one meal at this table...Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices
The libraryYeah, we weren't kidding when we said this house had a library. Can we pick up this house and plop it in Canada, then curl up with a good book by the fireplace come winter?Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices
Another kitchenBetween the curved ceiling and the red hue of the cabinet wood, we can't tell whether we like this kitchen or the last one better.Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage
A lovely Spanish-inspired staircaseUsually stairs serve just a functional purpose--to get you from one floor to the next. But in this case, they add elegance to the entire room too.Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage
A bathroomWe dig the twisted lines of black tile. Not only does it make the room a touch more sophisticated, but it also adds some nice contrast to stare at--because let's be honest, this is where you'll be spending most of your time. (Or in any of the other bathrooms.)Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage
Another dinning roomYou could use this as a giant dining room, sure. Or, it's big enough to be a separate storage unit entirely. Just in case the rest of the mansion isn't enough space to fit all of your stuff.Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage
