If you’re the new late night talk show host in town and you’re looking to make a splash, there’s no better A-Lister to nab than the one and only Tom Hanks. Especially if he’s down for a little Tom Foolery.

So that’s exactly what James Corden did on his debut of The Late Late Show with James Corden on Monday night.

He and Hanks took the stage in matching outfits and presented a quick improv-like montage of all 29 Tom Hanks films, from Apollo 13 and Toy Story to The Green Mile and Larry Crowne.

Corden proved he’s got the chops to back Hanks up, too. Between his Meg Ryan impressions for Sleepless in Seattle and You’ve Got Mail, we kept waiting for the pair to smooch.

A League of Their Own made the cut too, with Hanks’ famous “There’s no crying in baseball!” line being resurrected in its full glory. But the best sketch of the entire video has to go to Castaway, in which Corden features as the one and only Wilson.

Check out the video, below.

The Late Late Show With James Corden airs weeknights at 12:30 a.m. ET on CTV Two.
