You just never know what the Internet is going to dig up. While some of us might be mortified of drunken bathing suit pics or unflattering selfies from our pasts surfacing, Tom Hardy, for one, is fully owning up to them.
As you may recall, the Legend star caused quite the online stir when photos from his old MySpace page surfaced. They were namely pics of him in his underwear, posing, but there were some goofier additions too, such as one of him cooking a turkey. As one does when they’re all tattooed up and hot.
Given the fact that the actor usually sticks to serious roles, it was quite the feat for fans to see him in a whole new… element.
According to the actor, it’s a “natural element” at that. He recently opened up about the pictures in an interview with Sky News, claiming that he feels no shame whatsoever at the recycled pics.
“I’ve got no shame about my MySpace photos, especially the one of me in my underpants which is a glorious photo of a man in his natural habitat,” Hardy said. “In America, they say, ‘You should be ashamed of this,’ but I’m actually not remotely ashamed.”
Maybe it’s true what they say about actors being more comfortable in their own skin. And we have to say, there’s just something alluring about someone being able to look back at their younger, hotter self in such an epic way. Regardless, the photos were so great that we wouldn’t mind if there were secretly more out there, just waiting to remind people of their MySpace days past.
In the meantime, here’s a little Hardy reminder.
