Grammy-nominated artist, Tory Lanez is facing two felony charges tied to the shooting of fellow rapper,
Megan Thee Stallion, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office
announced Thursday (October 8th).The 28-year-old Canadian Hip Hop artist, born Daystar Peterson, faces one count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and one count of carrying an unregistered firearm in a vehicle. The DA also alleges Tory "personally inflicted great bodily injury."

If convicted, the rapper/singer faces up to 22 years and 8 months in prison.The charges follow an argument involving Tory and Megan, who the LA County District Attorney's office refers to as a "female friend," while riding together in an SUV in Hollywood Hills on July 12. Tory is accused of shooting her several times in the feet as she was exiting the vehicle.
