Threading a needle has to be one of the most time consuming and frustrating things on the planet. Sometimes you can’t see the tiny hole, sometimes the thread is the teensiest bit frayed and doesn’t fit, but no matter what it’s never an easy task. That is until you discover the trick that Twitter user John Bick has shared.
That awkward moment you realize you did it wrong your whole life. pic.twitter.com/oi8vKbMyvY

All you have to do is lay the thread flat on your hand, place the needle’s eye on top of the thread and then vigorously move it back and forth where the hole hits the strand. The friction will cause the two to meet and eventually thread through the hole!
Of course, the hack has gone viral and the internet had a lot to say about it.
What type of sorcery is this? https://t.co/uI2jQJAv5l

Mainly friction. For me it required firm, rougher skin on back of knuckles, not smooth spongy skin on palms. Apparently I’ve not been doing enough manual work recently.

Yes but now we don’t have to go on an archeological dig through the sewing basket to find the damn thing!!!

Now sewing on those missing buttons won’t be such a painful, time-consuming task!
