THE BEAVERTON YEAR IN REVIEW: 2018January 1
The only way we survived 2018 was with a sense of humor. And the legalization of marijuana. Relive the year that wouldn’t end with The Beaverton and remember the good times and the baaaaad times. It felt like there was a lot of bad. Crave
TRUE DETECTIVE, SEASON 3New episodes every Sunday starting January 13
HBO’s True Detective is returning, and early reviews indicate it’s more similar to the series’ critically acclaimed first season than its second season train wreck. Season 3 stars Oscar winner and Golden Globe nominee Mahershala Ali as a state police detective investigating a grisly crime in the Ozarks. Set over three time periods, the return of True Detective promises the expert storytelling of its first iteration. Seasons 1 and 2 (meh) are streaming now on Crave. HBO
Fresh off his Golden Globe-nominated role in Patrick Melrose (available now on Crave), Benedict Cumberbatch is testing the love of his fanbase with a new role as the political marketer than encouraged millions of people to ‘Vote Leave’ and turn Britain upside down in 2016. People weren’t happy then, they aren’t happy now, and they’re going to be royally ticked when they see exactly how the controversial political movement took place in HBO’s film Brexit. HBO

BLACK MONDAYNew episodes every Sunday starting January 20
From the guys that brought you Superbad, Pineapple Express and This Is The End comes Black Monday, a series about the worst financial crash in the history of Wall Street. Stay with us here. Frankie Shaw is back as writer, director and star of the SHOWTIME comedy SMILF, which features Shaw as Bridgette Bird, a single mom living in Boston’s South Side and trying to survive parenthood, dating, and turning pay cheques into a career. Showtime
Ray DonovanSeason finale Sunday, January 13 at 9 p.m. ET
Ray Donovan doesn’t want to be Ray Donovan anymore. In Season 6, we find the ‘professional fixer,’ played by Liev Schreiber, starting his life over in New York, or more appropriately, trying to end his life in New York. After being rescued from a suicide attempt by a NYPD cop, Ray finds a brotherhood with the boys in blue, but gets pulled back into his old world by Sam Winslow (Susan Sarandon) and his ailing father (Jon Voight). Maybe he should have thrown his old cell phone into the East River instead of himself. Seasons 1 to 5 are streaming now on Crave. CRAVE
COUNTERPART, SEASON 2New episodes every Sunday at 9 p.m. ET
With a 100 per cent fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the only question we really have about J.K.
