In a world of Instagram, Snapchats and Facebook albums, it seems like digital photos are bound to stay on the screen forever. Sure, there’s the novelty and charm of Instax film, but when it comes to photo prints who really takes the time to shoot on film, or saves their precious memories on USB sticks to take to the nearest digital lab for developing? (That one time you needed to make a collage for your BFF’s birthday doesn’t count.)
Enter Prynt, a Kickstarter project turned reality. This handy little printer fits right onto your smartphone. Just take a pic and print your photo instantly. It even records video that plays back when you scan your photo. In other words, the video will play onto the photo through augmented reality. How cool is that?
As for ink, Prynt doesn’t need it. It uses Zink paper, which works with heat, and is available at most camera stores, Canadian Tire, Walmart, Urban Outfitters, Amazon and more.
WHO’S IT FOR?
Anyone who misses the joy of a printed photograph.
