Tyra Banks is a businesswoman. She’s the mother hen of America’s Next Top Model, she had a morning talk show, she’s got a new morning talk show (with Chrissy Teigen, and it’s called The Fab Life) and now she’s trying to be the next Mary Kay.

She has launched “TYRA University,” which is now open for enrollment. For $59, people can learn, as Tyra puts it, “the art of tooching booties and strutting thighs.” She’ll also teach you how to pose, and how to ‘smize.’ Smizing, for people not into America’s Next Top Model, is what Miss Tyra refers to as “smiling with your eyes.”

Oh, and we should mention that entrants into Tyra University will be called “beautytainers.”

After the initial fee, and some training, these “beautytainers” will be responsible for selling Tyra’s makeup, which she launched in 2014 and is now available online. Personal sales commissions will be, according to Tyra Beauty’s site, 40 per cent. Which, you’ll note, is more or less the same kind of door-to-door model employed by Mary Kay cosmetics and Avon.

On the project, Tyra says, “People betta recognize just how fierce you are. I am ready to turn up the volume so we can all throw our hands up as you each take charge of your badass beauty biz.”

And it’s a hyper-positive company. Tyra adds, “We’re about Beauty, Business and Badassery and want YOU to join our badass movement of entrepreneurs – a community of love, hugs and fierceness that can werk a hallway like a runway! We will celebrate our beauty and business power together – one juicy, flat, dimpled, skinny, fat ass at a time!”

The company is currently only offering opportunities to Americans right now, but it won’t be long until her empire expands to the Great White North.
