Have you ever been curious about your cultural origins? What about the food inspired by that heritage? That’s the idea behind the new Gusto series, “DNA Dinners”, where participants discover their DNA results and get to know their newfound heritage through its cuisine.

While host Tyrone Edwards is usually the one who surprises willing participants with their DNA results on the show, we turned the tables on him. Lainey and Marci revealed the results of his very own Ancestry DNA test on The Social and he gets a taste—literally—of his heritage.

The show works with AncestryDNA to determine participants’ DNA results. Based on a simple saliva sample, Ancestry can provide an ethnicity estimate from more than 350 regions around the world. And they can even identify people you’re related to from the more than 10 million people who have also taken the test.

Get the recipes inspired by Tyrone’s DNA results (and created by the wonderful Camille Moore) below and check out Tyrone’s reaction in the video above.
