Sure, Neve Campbell is used to being called sexy and getting cast in the latest horror movies but she wants us to all know that there’s so much more to her. Her interview with The Guardian shows she’s all grown up and no longer Julia Salinger or Sidney Prescott. She’s Neve Freaking Campbell, Canadian, and proud of it.
Of course, she’s always been a proud Canuck but U.S. politics, whether real or fictional like on Julia’s latest project House of Cards, is making even the staunchest Americans want to run for our border.
“Everything about American politics makes me proud to be Canadian.”
“I’m a socialist,” she said. But she’s living in Brooklyn so who will she be voting for come election time? She admits her heart says Bernie Sanders but her head is with Hillary Clinton.
“I’m worried about how much Bernie would be able to accomplish in the White House. Hillary has been in the game long enough to know how it works,” said Campbell. “I’d hate to see Trump get in.” No kidding.
Let’s keep in mind that she’s talking about politics only, and not the countries themselves (though we’re sure many will think she’s bashing the U.S. and she should move back to Canada and all that jazz). That being said, her support of Sanders makes sense considering her political stance but her being a proud Canadian? Pfft. We knew it all along.
