What’s more important to you: comfortable, breathable underwear or something more lacy and sexy? It looks like many women would lean towards something more comfortable if you look at this company’s giant wait list.
On Monday, eco-friendly and minimalist clothing company Everlane launched a new underwear range with comfort and minimalism in mind. The wait list for the new products is over 28,420, and most likely going to climb even higher. What’s so special about the products? They’re all made of super breathable Supima cotton, with clean lines and no fancy lace or underwires. The range is also affordable, with everything priced under $30.
The products include four styles of underwear (The Thong, The Bikini, The Hipster, and The High-Rise Hipster), a wireless bra, and also a bodysuit. The company says it took took two years of designs and 40 prototypes to get the perfect underwear.
Everlane says “times are changing and so should our underwear” with a focus on “No frills. No bows. No bullshit” as the underwear’s ethos. Another cool thing is that the brand is built on transparency, sustainability, and has 50,000 female employees. Their promotional images also feature women of all shapes and sizes, which is always a plus in our books.
There’s no shame in loving fancy, frilly underwear, but for days when you don’t want an underwire poking you or aren’t into feeling itchy lace in all the wrong places, Everlane’s underwear could be the perfect fit — as long as you’re willing to wait.
