Watch one episode of E!’s reality series Total Divas, which follows the women of the WWE, and you’ll likely learn two things: these women are in incredible shape and Nikki Bella really wants to marry longtime boyfriend John Cena.
The famous couple have been together since 2012, with many episodes of the reality series dedicated to Bella’s desire to marry Cena, with Cena often stating he was uninterested in marriage and children.
It appears the famous wrestler and star of 2015’s Trainwreck has had a change of heart, delivering a suplex of an announcement during this weekend’s WrestleMania 33.
The couple were competing together at the biggest WWE show of the year, taking on married couple Miz and Maryse during a tag-team match. Cena and Bella won the match, with Cena using the opportunity to propose to Bella in front of 70,000 screaming fans.
Taking place on live TV in Orlando, Florida, the wrestler got down on one knee and no shirt in front of Bella, saying “I’ve been waiting so long to ask you this.” Calling Bella by her real name, Stephanie Nicole Garcia-Colace, Cena presented his girlfriend witha massive round-cut diamond ring. Bella was overcome with emotion, saying ‘yes’ to Cena’s proposal and securing their future as having one of the most ab-filled weddings in history.
Family and friends of the couple quickly began offering their congratulations on social media, including Bella’s sister and fellow wrestler Brie Bella, HGTV star Drew Scott, and wrestler Trish Stratus.
Happy tears!!!! They always felt married to me but to see it…wow!!! Welcome to the family @JohnCena

The newly-engaged couple appeared on The Today Show on Monday to gush about their news, with Cena admitting that he had been planning the proposal for over a year.
The upcoming marriage is the second for both wrestling superstars.
