With the annual Victoria’s Secret runway show in sight, the participating models will be doing everything they can to get and stay in the zone, including but not limited to sculpting their bods into rock-solid shapes of perfection in order to sport some of the most extravagant costumes and lingerie.

Models Zuri Tibby and Grace Elizabeth, who will both take to the VS catwalk for the second time, recently shared some of their pre-runway regimens leading up to the mega show. It’s a bright spotlight, and it pays to be prepared.

Of course, fitness is paramount, and Elizabeth recently revealed that her new exercise routine includes a few sessions of ‘bouncing.’

“I recently just bought a Rebounder, one of those mini trampolines, and I jump on it 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the afternoon,” Elizabeth told Fashionista. “It’s so much fun.”

But Elizabeth says she has always been into sports, so getting her sweat on isn’t anything new. “I train year-round. I was always in sports in school, so for me, this is now my sport. I box a lot and I do Pilates.”

Tibby, meanwhile, has also been slogging it out at the Soho gym, Dogpound, which is a favourite of NYC’s most fashionable.

To get her muscles to recover faster, the 22-year-old hits Cryofuel, a cryotherapy centre in Soho that offers a service that is sort of like jumping into bathtub full of ice, only more trendy. Cryotherapy also claims to help rejuvenate the skin, too — a win-win for any runway-bound model…

This year’s show will take place in Shanghai, so the ladies have the complications of international travel time change to contend with as well. Elizabeth boasts of a “special power being able to sleep wherever, whenever,” which will help with the jet lag, while Tibby plans to rely on the family she’ll be travelling with for support — that plus loads of quality sleep and water leading up to the event.

It’s all a lot of build up to what is essentially a minute or two under the lights, and the gals are aware of it. “Because [considering] the hours that you prep for [the show], you only end up with about 60 seconds out there,” said Elizabeth. “It goes by so fast, you just have to live in it.”

Backstage, the models also share some tips for pre-stage jitters. “Last year, I think just to get out the nerves, we all ended up in a plank challenge before the show actually started,” says Elizabeth. “Kelly Gale actually won. She had an eight-minute plank. Congrats to her. It’s insane. She beat us all, but we all tried.”

The 2017 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will air on Tuesday, November 28, meaning there’s a little less than a month to get ready…to watch, at least.
