Uma Thurman has worked with Harvey Weinstein on several films, from Pulp Fiction to the Kill Bill movies, but in the midst of all the bombs dropped by women who have come forward in the wake of Weinstein’s sexual misconduct and rape allegations, the actress’ name has been noticeably absent. Sure, Uma is busy preparing for her Broadway debut, but she hasn’t issued even a small statement about what’s been going on over the last month. Because, it turns out, she’s simply biding her time.
When asked by Access Hollywood about her feelings on what’s going on in Hollywood and inappropriate behaviour in the workplace, Thurman has things to say. And, ooooooh booooooy, there is just so much here.
Uma Thurman’s response when asked about the flood of sexual misconduct allegations….wow. pic.twitter.com/Sw5Br1GwFg

Uma was seething and it clearly took every ounce of self-restraint for her to not unleash her rage and, sadly, her story. It wasn’t just her words (though, bravo to all of it) but her body language, which showed just how angry and repulsed she felt by simply saying a couple sentences. And people were here for it.
Uma Thurman expresses *precisely* the words and feelings I have exchanged with several women friends these past weeks. https://t.co/o7hPzKLzXL

So many women can relate to this rage because we’ve been hurt, abused and humiliated by men in power, not just in Hollywood, this is society

You know Thurman’s full statement is going to be a punch in the gut and a huge awakening. Because the fury within has been building, likely from years of believing something happened to her alone, only to find out it happened to so many others, in so many similar ways, and others knew and didn’t do anything. That might be the worst part for Uma to swallow.
Look out, Harvey, Uma is coming for you. And like so many of his alleged victims, here’s hoping he’s not going to know what hit him.
