One of Jim Morrison’s rambling interview responses has resurfaced now that it seems like The Doors’ frontman may have, oh, you know, accurately predicted the rise of electronic dance music (EDM) – or what many commonly refer to as “that noise.” (Although, if rock god Morrison thought it was the future, maybe it’s time you stop complaining. Just sayin’.)

It would seem as though the rest of the members of The Doors agreed with their frontman’s prediction. In 2011, they teamed up with Grammy Award-winning EDM artist and shunner of sideburns Skrillex for a track on his Bangarang EP, plugging Morrison’s prophetic quote into “Breakn A Sweat” and simultaneously returning to Skrillex the rock cred he had lost by ditching his hardcore band, From First to Last, to promote the neon cause.

But before we start combing through our record collection in search of next week’s lottery numbers, we have to wonder: Did Morrison actually predict the future or did he make it happen? In which case, we would like to personally lay the past three years of terrible Skrillex hair at his feet, along with a decade we don’t entirely remember.
