Actor Josh Gad has truly lifted everyone’s spirits during quarantine by reuniting the casts of some of the most beloved '80s cult classic movies like
Goonies, Back To The Future, and
Splash for his YouTube series "Reunited Apart." But apparently all the coordination and planning that goes into such a huge undertaking wasn’t enough work for the actor and father of two, so he decided what the world needs now, more than ever, was Olaf the Snowman from
Frozen. And according to Josh, the world needs Olaf in places no snowman should ever go.“I’m sure you already know this,” he told James Corden during his appearance on
The Late Late Show (weekdays 12:37ET on CTV), “but I narrated the celebrated ESPN docuseries
The Last Dance as Olaf the Snowman.”
James (and all of us) are rightfully suspicious of these claims, because, uh, no ya didn’t, Josh. But as Josh demands they, “ROLL THE CLIP!” sure enough, he's got the audio evidence of the goofy and adorkable voice of Olaf from
Frozen providing commentary on the 1997 Chicago Bulls basketball season which just goes off the rails into odd snowman territory.“They start the game with a huddle!” Olaf narrates, “which is like a big hug between six men or more. Hopefully more! Should I shave my head? Seriously, good idea or bad idea? Maybe I should just...
Let it grow, let it groooow . . . Oh hey, there’s Dennis Rodman!”Of course it doesn’t stop there. Much to James’ chagrin (“Stop rolling clips!”), Josh has taken the liberty to narrate
The Dust Bowl documentary about the severe prairie dust storms of the 1930s as Olaf the Snowman, and also a nature documentary where a big lizard is chased and eaten by a gaggle of desert snakes.[video_embed id='1961130']RELATED: Michael Jordan’s teammates say he was a jerk, but it helped them win [/video_embed]James has his suspicions that this is a ploy to get more work for Olaf, but not gonna lie, would that really be the worst thing in the world? Apparently the Olaf takeover is going to have to wait a bit as Josh is back to creating more episodes of
Reunited Apart. He announced in the
interview that he’s just completed a reunion with the cast of
Ghostbusters (wow, even Slimer?), and he’s also shooting a new one, but he wouldn’t say with whom.“I wish I could tell you what it is, but I can’t yet. It’s going to be pretty amazing.”He may not have said it out loud, but his
Instagram seems to hint it’s a reunion of the cast of
Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. If we don’t see Matthew Broderick, Jennifer Grey and Alan Ruck on video-chat singing "Twist and Shout," WE DON’T WANT IT.Watch
