It’s no secret – we do chocolate and candy different here. As a commonwealth country, Canada has access to the sweet, sweet goodness of the U.K., and there’s never any shortage of delicious stuff to savour. America, meanwhile, does not get easy access to British confections.

So when a bunch of BuzzFeed staff members opted to sample some of our candy bars, and oddly, a maple-flavoured cookie (which, c’mon, no one in this country eats as “candy”), a few of them were pleased while the others remained patriotic to their own high-fructose corn syrup offerings.

Obviously taste is subjective, but we would gladly eat a Crispy Crunch or a Coffee Crisp over a Baby Ruth.

Watch the Americans sample our candy in the video, above.
