You know what isn’t coming anymore? Winter. It’s freaking here. Which means that we’re more than ready for new episodes of our favourite Westeros series and the characters within. Thankfully (oh, so thankfully) HBO has finally revealed the date when Game of Thrones will be back on television. And that date is April 24.

We know, it’s a little later than it’s been in the past, but not by much. In fact we could have easily put money on the show coming back in April at some point.

But other than that, we’re kind of like Jon Snow in that we know nothing about the upcoming season. Well, other than the stuff that’s been previously reported like some small casting news (mostly involving incoming Dothraki), the fact that The Hound may be alive after all, and of course the biggie: Jon Snow may not be dead.

However, we do have some insight into what we can expect when the show finally returns for its sixth season run. Such as the fact that we will probably get to see Margaery’s trials now that Cersei has been “freed.” And that there will be some pretty damned big moments involving Dany and her dragons. And that Bran and Hodor (Hodor! Hodor!) will finally be back after missing out on the entire fifth season.

Other than that, it just feels like we have a bunch of questions that we’re dying to have answered. Did Theon and Sansa survive that epic jump? (Our Spidey sense says yes.) How will Arya manage now that she’s blind? What are Brienne and Jaime up to, and will they ever be reunited? Why was Tyrion and Dany’s partnership so short lived? And how will Cersei exact revenge?

Okay so we have about a thousand more questions, actually, but given the fact that we still have a three-plus month wait thinking about them all will just hurt our brains. So for now, we’ll just watch this teaser yet again.

Game of Thrones returns April 24 to HBO Canada.
